How do I get a direct link to a place on google maps with the Place Id

I have the Place Id of a place on google maps in my app. Is there a way to put the place Id in a URL and have it directly link to the page? Or does it have to be done through the URL? I can't seem to find anything detailing this in the docs. I've tried below, but it just gets me the standard google maps page: https://maps.google.com/maps?placeid=ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4 Recently, in May 2017, Google launched the new Google Maps URLs API. You can read about this API in the official documentation https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/urls/guide So, from now on you can construct a

Getting Google Maps link from place_id

HeIIo, using google map API with search I'm able to find a certain place and then store it's details. However, the array doesn't contain google maps link which would open this place on google maps. Via API I receive place_id which, as I feel, should be enough to build a full google maps link; however, I can't find a way to do that. Can anyone advise me on how to do that. Thank you for your time. Try above syntax. I hope it helps https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJp4JiUCNP0xQR1JaSjpW_Hms Here is an official url to search for a placeId with a fallback to an address if the placeId

I am able to launch Google Maps intent with Uri location = Uri.parse("geo:0,0"); Intent mapIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, location); startActivity(mapIntent); How can I launch the intent in Driving mode (with no destination, unless previously set in Maps) so that it looks like on the screenshot below? I tried setting mode=driving but that just opens the regular map with the "driving" tab selected: Uri location = Uri.parse("geo:0,0?mode=driving"); This will launch google maps in Driving Mode Intent intent = getPackageManager().getLaunchIntentForPackage("com.google.android.apps.maps");

What parameters should I use in a Google Maps URL to go to a lat-lon?

I would like to produce a url for Google Maps that goes to a specific latitude and longitude. Now, I generate a url such as this: http://maps.google.com/maps?z=11&t=k&q=58 41.881N 152 31.324W The resulting map comes up with a round "A" balloon pointer, which seems to point to the nearest named object, and a green arrow, which points to the lat-lon. Sometimes, as in this example, the "A" pointer is centered and is far enough away that you cannot see the pointer to the lat-lon. (Zoom out to see both pointers in this example. The "A" pointer is in the center of Alaska, while the lat-long pointer
