I'm trying to use audiokit to receive syses messages from a hardware synthesizer in an app on the mac. These synthesizer message are build up of 11 numbers, for example:
240,00,32,51,01,16,112,00,40,95,247
in the current released version of audiokit (4.5.5) messages like this are received in a AKMIDIListener class in the function: receivedMIDISystemCommand(data). Some observations - It seems that this large amount of numbers is build up out of 6 parts of 256 numbers. they start with three numbers taken from the real message, followed by 253 zero's. - Most parts are duplicated.
with all this, I can recreate the original message. When i did this, I discovered each message is received multiple times. And a lot of messages seems to get lost.
Long story short, I really like Audiokit for a lot of reasons, but I can not use it for receiving sysex.

It seems to me that audiokit is cutting my 11-bit syses messages in 4 smaller message of 3 bits each. Only the first message starts with 240, and is recognized as syses message.
The following 3 parts are not recognized as anything at all, and are lost.
The first message will let Audiokit crash because it doesn't contain the necessary end-number (247).
Have tried to change this behavior, but with no luck. Audiokit is a really really nice peace of work, but sadly not for my project I guess.

AudioKit's sysex handling has been improved since this question was asked and answered, so it should work better now.
