Is http://timestamp.geotrust.com/tsa not longer available for SignTool?

问题 We sign our executables on the build server. Suddenly the build server failed to build giving the error: SingTool Error: The sepcified timestamp server either could not be reached or returned an invalid response. After changing the timestamp server to http://sha256timestamp.ws.symantec.com/sha256/timestamp, singing did work again. Are there any issues with our old url? Why is it not available anymore? Could we have some (security) issues with the old signed files or the new url? I know this

问题 I have published a WinForms application from Visual Studio 2010. It uses .NET 4.0. in the prerequisite dialog in Publish pane I selected .NET 4.0 Client Profile and Windows Installer 3.0. After publishing application to disk, I migrated it to client's computer which first installed .NET Client Profile and after reboot it gave following error message: Unable to Install or run application. The application requires that assembly, Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common version 10.0.0 in global assembly

Distributing VC++ Redist… running installer when already installed causes problems

问题 Using the Inno installer, we distribute the VC++ redistributable with our app so we can run it automatically. We've found that running it on a system where it's already installed asks us to repair/undo the installation which is going to totally confuse users. Is there a way around this? Maybe a flag on the installer or something? Thanks. 回答1: Try the /q flag http://support.microsoft.com/kb/227091 (assuming you're installing it via calling msiexec.exe on their redistributable) 回答2: For some

Avoiding a Windows Firewall popup

问题 My organisation produces a suite of Windows applications that make use of networking, and so when users run our software for the first time, the Windows Firewall (if it is running) brings up a pop-up, informing the user that our app(s) are trying to use the network, prompting the user to allow or deny access. This occurs with plenty of other apps (Spotify, to give one example), but ee'd like to prevent these popups from happening, as they can be a bit problematic for our users. Some

Best Way To Determine If .NET 3.5 Is Installed

问题 I need to programatically determine whether .NET 3.5 is installed. I thought it would be easy: <% Response.Write(Environment.Version.ToString()); %> Which returns "2.0.50727.1434" so no such luck... In my research I have that there are some rather obscure registry keys I can look at but I'm not sure if that is the route to go. Does anyone have any suggestions? 回答1: You could try: static bool HasNet35() { try { AppDomain.CurrentDomain.Load( "System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral,

How best to define a custom action in WiX?

问题 I have a WiX installer and a single custom action (plus undo and rollback) for it which uses a property from the installer. The custom action has to happen after all the files are on the hard disk. It seems that you need 16 entries in the WXS file for this; eight within the root, like so: <CustomAction Id="SetForRollbackDo" Execute="immediate" Property="RollbackDo" Value="[MYPROP]"/> <CustomAction Id="RollbackDo" Execute="rollback" BinaryKey="MyDLL" DllEntry="UndoThing" Return="ignore"/>

Batch Script to Install or Uninstall a .NET Windows Service

问题 I have no experience writing batch scripts, but I was wondering if there was a way to install a .NET Windows service using installutil.exe using such a script, or uninstall the service if it is already installed, ideally with some kind of confirmation that I actually would like to perform the uninstall (e.g. press y to uninstall). Here are some details: The .exe for the service is located in the C:\Program Files\Data Service directory The script should be in the same directory as the .exe for

How to create a Smart Device installer with CF 3.5 and SQL Server CE included?

问题 after having my first look into the Visual Studio (2008) installation/setup project template for Smart Devices and wondering how unintuitive this is, and after searching the net for about an hour and paging through my CF books, I still have not been able to find out how I can create a setup package (.cab file, Setup.exe, whatever) that includes my Compact Framework 3.5 application as well as CF 3.5 itself and SQL Server CE, so that the prerequisites get installed if necessary with my
