Improving Android string resources with XLIFF

问题 I've seen some Google apps and code samples using XLIFF tags to wrap variables. I see some great advantages in doing this, especially for replacing non-descriptive format arguments such as %1$s . Unfortunately, XLIFF doesn't seem to integrate well into ADT. Take the following string resource, for instance: <resources xmlns:xliff="urn:oasis:names:tc:xliff:document:1.2" xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"> <string name="share_with_application"> Share your score of <xliff:g id="score"

问题 I have an array of strings in which the % symbol is used. Proper format for using the % is % . When I have a string in that array with multiple % it gives me this error. Multiple annotations found at this line: - error: Multiple substitutions specified in non-positional format; did you mean to add the formatted="false" attribute? - error: Found tag </item> where </string-array> is expected 回答1: The Android Asset Packaging Tool ( aapt ) has become very strict in its latest release and is now

Updates to i18n translation files in Angular

问题 I am currently in the process of adding en locale to an Angular App we are using at my company. After some thinking we decided to go with the Angular 5+ native i18n support. From how I understand it however, everytime the translation file is generated with ng xi18n --outputPath src/locale/ --locale en a new file is created. This means, that every time a new i18n tag is added, the previous XLF file which already contains the old translations, needs to be merged with the new translations. This

How to provide an alternate i18n language link in Angular with aot compiling?

问题 I am currently working on i18n of my Angular app. I use AOT compiling with xlf files to create pre-compiled apps as described here. In the build, I provide a language specific base href (using the --base-href parm). For example, this means, I end up with two language specific apps using the following url paths: /app_path/en/... /app_path/de/... Now I want to provide a link to the respective alternate language within my app by replacing for example en by de in the active url. I used the Router

问题 Background: Xcode 6 adds a quick export function that creates a single XLIFF file for each language (just select your project from the File navigator. Then choose the menu item Editor → Export For Localization ). Issue: It works really well and in the XML is included everything ... except the Settings Bundle Strings . Does anyone have an experience with this? Edit: After an intense research it looks there is no way to force Xcode (version 6.1) to include the Settings Bundle Strings to the

Xcode 6 localization of plurals & genders with XLIFF

问题 In Xcode 6 the XLIFF file format is now used for localization of strings. However, I need localise plurals and genders. How can I do this in Xcode 6? As far as I understand, the XLIFF file now replaces the Localizable.strings file. In iOS 7/ OS X 10.9 we could localise plurals & genders by adding Localizable. stringsdict but this requires a Localizable.strings to exist. But since now there is no Localisable.strings file, how can I get the Localizable.stringsdict file to work? 回答1: As of Xcode

问题 I'm trying to localize my app using NSLocalizedString. When i import the XLIFF file, most works like a charm but something do not and some string is not localized. I have noticed that the problem is from NSLocalizedString containing something variable inside like: NSLocalizedString(" - \(count) Notifica", comment: "sottotitolo prescrizione per le notifiche al singolare") or NSLocalizedString("Notifica per \(medicina!) della prescrizione \(prescription!)\nMemo: \(memoTextView.text)", comment:

问题 I am adding multiple languages to an iOS application from .xliff files. On the first import, all works as planned and everything comes is and works great. On the second, however, it will tell me: Duplicate localized resource "XXX/Localizable.strings" found It appears that it isn't grouping the files correctly, even though they are in the appropriate locations in finder. Any ideas? 回答1: I couldn't get it to work properly but here is my work around: I would import language 1, watch the files
