Has the Batch Build option been removed in Visual Studio 2012 Express?

问题 I just recently switched from Visual C++ 2010 Express to Visual Studio 2012 Express for Desktop. Since I use it often, I soon found myself looking for the Batch Build... option under the Build menu (or Solution Explorer → <solution>'s right-click menu). At work, I have Visual Studio 2012 Professional and the Batch Build... option is where it was in Visual Studio 2010. Has this feature been cut from the Express editions? 回答1: It turns out the Batch Build... feature still exists in the Express

Can Visual Studio 2010 Express connect to Team Foundation Server 2010?

I know VS 2010 Pro/Premium/Ultimate include TFS connectivity, does VS 2010 Express? Oded No it doesn't. See this SO question (What is “missing” in the Visual Studio Express Editions?) - one of the bullet points is no Team Explorer support , meaning to TFS integration. On this Microsoft page for VS 2010, you can see the the Pro edition with MSDN essentials subscription has none of the TFS features out of the box, suggesting that this is also the case for the express SKUs. I'm not sure if you can install this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=329 Though i don't

Install Xamarin for Visual Studio 2013 Express

I have a Windows 8.1 laptop and I installed Xamarin. Xamarin Studio works fine, but I cannot use the Xamarin integration for Visual Studio 2013 Express for Windows Desktop. When I want to create a new project, it will not show the templates. Here is what I tried: I deinstalled and reinstalled Xamarin several times. I tried copying the files and following the instructions at http://blog.fire-development.com/2013/07/01/install-xamarin-in-vs-2013-preview-1/ . (Instead of executing devenv.exe, I used WDExpress.exe with admin rights because this is different for the express versions.) Nothing seems

How do I “run until this variable changes” when debugging?

When debugging my C#, I often want to know when a variable's value changes and then investigate the state of the program. Currently, I do it like this: Watch-list the offending variable. Physically spam F10 (shortcut for Step Over) until I see the value change. However, the number of F10s required is annoying. Surely this has been automated, I thought. But I cannot find this feature in my Microsoft Visual C# Express , which surprises me. After all, the Watch-list does automatically highlight changed values in bright red. Am I missing something? No template for Windows Phone 8.1 in Visual Studio Express 2013 with Update 2 RC

问题 I have been developing WP (Windows Phone) 8.0 apps using Visual Studio Express for Windows Phone. To start developing for WP 8.1, I downloaded VS 2013 including update 2 RC from Windows Phone Developer site which is supposed to use to develop WP 8.1 apps. I've tried twice, but there is no option to create WP 8.1 app even after a successful installation. What I get is only this: i.e. no option to create Windows Phone 8.1 apps. If it matters, I'm interested in WP 8.1 Visual C# template

Change encoding on a per file or per extension basis

问题 I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web. It seems that every file which I open with it gets encoded into UTF-8. For most files which are going to be web-facing, that's fine. However, I have files in my projects that are specifically for build purposes (e.g., .bat files), which must be encoded in ANSI. Are there any configuration settings in VS to either designate on a per file or a per extension basis the encoding? Or, if not specify the encoding, at least disable the auto

问题 I'm trying to build a basic Qt "Hello, world!" application inside Visual Studio. Deploy .NET (C#) exe application on desktops

I develop application in C# with MSVC 2010 Express, with Forms/WPF/etc. Application consist of some private assemblies (maybe DLLs) and .exe file. It uses .NET 4 features. How I deploy this application to other computers? Of course if they have .NET 4 I just can send zip of .exe with .dlls and it work. But if they don't have .NET at all (on Win XP machine)? Or maybe they have lower version of .NET? Should I point them to install .NET from internet or package it with my app or what? Thanks You should create a installer package. If you are using the express versions of visual studio, you can use
