问题 I started using TFS since VS2010. By that time I already created my own TFS server (myname.visualstudio.com). My problem is that I created a new project on the my TFS website (the one with the dashboards). Then when I go to VS2017, and connect to that new project, it asks me to map and get it as expected. Instead of just clicking "Map & Get" button, I instead clicked advanced so that I can configure everything. On the workspace configuration dialog, I noticed that VS names it as "MYPCBLABLA_1

TFS 2015 Gated check-in failed due to missing mapping

问题 Our code sits in one TFS project, and we have multiple other projects that contain data: $/ - $/Code - $/Data1 - $/Data2 We have defined a gated check-in build to run on each check-in to $/Code. We don't care about each individual project's data for that matter, since we only want to build the shared $/Code project. The problem is that when a user checks-in a code change together with data change, i.e. alters both $/Code and $/Data1, the build fails because we don't have mapping for $/Data1

问题 I've been searching for this but have not been able to find something concrete. Could someone please help whether it's possible to queue a build based on label in VSTS? Link here - Label in TFS 回答1: Git If you are using Git version control you can use the tag as shown below. Git tags are quite nicely supported in web interface and builds. 问题 Running tf scorch behaves as I'd expect. However, running tf scorch /? says the syntax for this command should be tf vc scorch . Looking elsewhere on SO I've found this latter syntax used: What does the command tf vc scorch do?. Does the vc argument have any impact / is there any good reason to include or exclude it? 回答1: Just run tf.exe /? and it will tell you: Microsoft (R) TF - Team Foundation Version Control Tool, Version 15.127.27130.1 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. Can Renaming the Main Branch in TFVC Orphan Child Branches?

问题 I'm currently using the Development and Release Branch Isolation strategy with TFS 2015. I've been asked to rename the Main branch. As I've learned from this posting (Rename TFS 2013 Branch), rename is really branch and delete. Is there a risk of orphaning the Development and Release branches, along with their histories, if I do such a thing? Thanks in advance. 回答1: It won’t. You can still view the hierarchy of your branch . The renamed branch will replace your previous branch in the

问题 I merged 2 branches and there are no conflicts. I saw that there are no conflicts and immediately unchecked the auto resolution of conflicts. I merged the branches again and still there are no conflicts. After I opened the pending changes, I saw this. I think there should generally be a button or link for conflicts. But there is no such thing. I have a lot of conflicting code. It is just keeping my version whenever I think there should be a conflict. Can somebody tell me in their experience

问题 I am going to change my work company, but I will continue working on the same projects. I have some projects on Azure DevOps with Git and another one with TFVC. I have used these source control tools integrated on Visual Studio, I have never used the console commands. I want to "copy" the source code with all changes of some projects (not all projects) from one account to another. And if it is possible to migrate TFVC to Git. How can I do it? 回答1: First of all, migrate the TFVC code to Git
