问题 I am using TFS 2018 CI pipeline for MVC project, also I added the project's bin files into the TFS, there is no problem with the pipeline, its getting succeeded and artifact is generated successfully but the main problem is that if I made any changes in code related to project's DLL, the CI pipeline's build solution not generating its own latest bin file Until or unless I manually check Out the project.dll file and than check In the file than pipeline will pick the changes, what I am missing,

问题 I am trying to import a specific TFS branch (without history) to GIT using "Import from TFVC" function available after creating an empty GIT repository in VSTS. The error I am getting is: There is no item in the given path which can be imported VSTS redirects me to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=839462 but there is no description of this error, it's a general import guide. The branch I am referencing during the import has many projects and is about 500MB in size (this is the size on

In TFS (or ADO) is there an API call to link a Team to an Area Path?

问题 We're automating our TFS Team/Board creation and found that there is an API to create a Team and an API to create an Area Path, but not one to link the two. Basically we're looking for something that acts as the ‘Create an area path with the name of the team.’ check box in the attached picture.Screenshot Here's the code for our Team post: $azdoURI = https://prd-ourCompanyName/tfs/ourOrg/_apis/projects/ourProject/teams?api-version=5.0" $requestBody = @{ name = "$boardName" } $jsonRequestBody =

TFS 2015 - TF401002: The SQL Server Database Engine failed to save the database backup to path

问题 When attempting to create scheduled backups for TFS 2015, I received the following message: "TF401002: The SQL Server Database Engine failed to save the database backup to path \{share}\d$\TFSBackups. Please grant SQL service account read/write access to that folder." I can't seem to find a solution that will work for me. The 'TFSBackups' folder is shared with full permissions for the NETWORK SERVICE and MSSQLSERVER. What haven't I done? 回答1: Put the comment from Panagiotis Kanavos in the

date variable in TFS

问题 I am trying to create a variable in TFS for my task for timestamp in format yyyymmdd. I know that I create a task specifically for this using bash or powershell. However, I am looking to find some existing variable or some way to create this variable without having to setup a task dedicated for itself. So far I have tried to use $(Date:yyyymmdd) in my variables but it does not put values in it, it uses variable name as is. For example, C:\Alpha\beta\$(Date:yyyymmdd) instead of C:\Alpha\beta

Linking pull requests to the workitems from the TFS database

问题 We use custom queries (against TFS databases: Tfs_DefaultCollection and Tfs_Warehouse) to check if all changesets have a workitem linked to it. We use the FactWorkItemChangeset table from the Tfs_Warehouse database. Currently we are migrating to TFS Git and we want to update our custom queries to check if all the pull requests have a workitem linked to it. For example: Git pull request and its workitem We don't know where in the Tfs_Warehouse or in the Tfs_Defaultcollection database the pull

Adding a state to a Work Item workflow in TFS 2013

问题 My team recently migrated from TFS 2008 to TFS 2013. We are using the Agile template. I noticed that for items that are Bugs, there isn't a way to specify that the item is "In Progress" or that "Work has started", it simply goes from the Active state to the Resolved state. I'm not sure what the logic is by not having an "In Progress" state between "Active" and "Resolved". Anyways, I would like to add a new "In Progress" state but can't figure out how. Do any of you have any examples? I'm
