问题 I'm working on a web application and I want to make it easy to use via screen reader. Testing stuff in JAWS is time consuming. Is it possible to make JAWS display text instead of reading it? I don't want actually to hear the content during development. I just want to see what would be read by JAWS. 回答1: There is no speech viewer for Jaws, as far as I know. However, you can make it write all speech output to a log file using the "/z" switch. Unfortunately, you cannot view the log file in a

问题 As a web developer, a number of the projects I work on fall under government umbrellas and hence are subject to 508 Accessibility laws, and sometimes W3C accessibility guidelines. To what extent can JavaScript be used while still meeting these requirements? Along these lines, to what extent is JavaScript, specifically AJAX and using packages like jQuery to do things such as display modal dialogues, popups, etc. supported by modern accessibility software such as JAWS, Orca, etc? In the past,

问题 So this may seem like a very simple question but I can't get my head around it. I have the following HTML: <h2>word 1 - <strong> word 2 </strong></h2> I know that this isn't semantically correct and I shouldn't have a strong inside a heading, but due to design requirements I need to bold the second word but not the first one. I'm trying to make sure that this text is still accessible, but when I use a screen reader it gives me weird readings. I'm guessing it is because of the <strong> tag

问题 Screen reader not reading this div: <div tabindex="7" aria-label="Here be redundant or extraneous content" > It should read "Here be redundant or extraneous content" Any help how to solve this problem with HTML? 回答1: A div is neither landmark nor interactive content. An aria-label will not be read by a screen reader (and rightly so). Use an off-screen technique: <div class="sr-only"> Here be redundant or extraneous content </div> The CSS might look like this (accounting for RTL languages too)

问题 If i have same navigation on 2 places in every page , one is in dropdown and again is in left sider bar will it create difficulties for screen reader user? 回答1: It shouldn't be an issue. Assuming the drop down is a combo box there won't be duplicate text spoken since screen readers only read the selected item in a combo box by default not the entire list of items. I find links are the best way for me to navigate a frequently used page since most screen readers have the ability to generate a
