问题 I installed the rgl package (0.104.16) in R (3.6.3), but it does not load. I don't get any errors. It just never ends loading. I tried reinstalling R and RStudio and also Xquartz. Nothing is working. I have Mac OS Catalina version 10.15.7. Any help would be highly appreciated! Cheers 回答1: Edited to add new details and suggested fixes. This appears to be due to problems in the 2.8.0beta version of Xquartz that was released in early February. There are two problems: It makes incompatible

问题 While attempting to run [executable] , a program I wrote under Linux and am attempting to test under XQuartz on OSX, I get: dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _glXChooseVisual Referenced from: [executable] Expected in: /usr/X11/lib/libX11.6.dylib [...] Trace/BPT trap: 5 The only precedent I could find was this, which wasn't resolved. My program uses GLEW as set up here. Clearly, glXChooseVisual isn't being found, but I would expect it in libX11 , so . . . what went wrong?

Overview I'm attempting to get XQuartz to work on OSX so I can do X11 forwarding via Docker. I'm following the instructions here . I believe my question may be answered by just the first part, but just in case (to avoid the XY problem), I've provided the second part as well. Installation I've installed it via homebrew, via brew cask install xquartz . Then I open -a XQuartz to start it. Local xterms Testing it out, if I try to open an xterm , it does not work: MacBook-Pro:opencv-gui csaftoiu$ xterm xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.3wncZULdXC/org.macosforge

问题 I am trying to install openFoam on Mac OS X 10.10.5 (http://www.openfoam.com/download/install-binary.php) by using Docker-toolbox. I can do without problems all the suggested steps, but then, when I try to run the example included in the installation guide, I cannot open paraFoam, since it returns the following error: paraview: cannot connect to X server I have also installed XQuartz but it doesn't seem to help much! 回答1: Why don't you get the latest paraview from Kitware. It has a native
