问题 At the moment we are switching from VS2015 to VS2017. One of our upgrade steps is to switch from stylecop to the new Stylecop.Analyzer package. The new Stylecop is using 2 files. The stylecop.json and the Stylecop.ruleset. The target: I want to provide the stylecop files as a custom nuget package. But I dont know how to create the needed .csproj entries. <Project Sdk="Microsoft.NET.Sdk"> <PropertyGroup> ... <CodeAnalysisRuleSet>packages\My.StyleCop.1.0.0-pre15\RuleSet\My.StyleCop.ruleset<

Convert all *.cs files to unicode in VisualStudio

问题 My team does not pay attention to file encoding (and that is correct, because humans should not be bothered by file encodings). However some files are saved in utf8, and some in regional encoding (cp1250). I need a tool that can do two things: 1. Force utf8 on all files that will be created in future 2. Convert all existing files with given extension (or at least *.cs) to utf-8 How can I achieve these goals using Visual-Studio or Resharper plugins, and or external tools? I tried to do #2 with

CoInitializeSecurity throws RPC_E_TOO_LATE in Visual Studio 2017

问题 I'm trying to run an application making a call to CoInitializeSecurity at startup. This works in Visual Studio 2013, but does not work in Visual Studio 2017 - and I'm curious to why this is. When calling CoInitializeSecurity at startup in Visual Studio 2017 I get a COMException with the error code RPC_E_TOO_LATE (0x80010119) which indicates a call has already been made to CoInitialize , this does not happen in Visual Studio 2013. I have seen this behaviour before in Visual Studio 2013 when

CMake & Visual Studio: How to get a quick, quiet command line build?

问题 I've got a cmake project that successfully does everything that I want. But I've got about 100 files, and I tire of seeing the huge output that is generated, 30 lines per file every time when I only need to recompile a single file. To be clear, I'm compiling cmake --build . to get this result. What is the parameter that I need to pass to the compiler (or MSBuild) to skip the printing that it checked the unchanged files? Compiling the project inside Visual Studio doesn't create all of this

问题 I've been using VS 2015 for a while now and just upgraded to VS 2017 when it launched yesterday (2017-03-07). I installed with only the .NET desktop and C++ desktop workflows, without changing any other individual components. I'm considering migrating my C++ projects to the 2017 toolchain (version "141" apparently? 2015 was "140"). I need to use the VC merge modules for my installer, so I looked in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Merge Modules folder, but that folder only contains
