Microdata, RDFa or JSON-LD Appropriate or best usage?

问题 I have been wondering which of those formats is "best"? Schema.org, Microdata, and RDFa are bit of a pain to implement. They can break validation and require quite an effort to put into documents. JSON-LD is, at last for me, a way better to implement structured data. But does it work? What level of support is there for it (at least by Google)? 回答1: Schema.org is a vocabulary that can, like any other vocabulary, be used in many forms. The website http://schema.org/ has examples using Microdata

Just wondering whether you guys out there are favouring the OpenGraph protocol following markup like: <meta property="og:title" content="The Rock" /> <meta property="og:type" content="movie" /> <meta property="og:url" content="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117500/" /> Or the Schema.org protocol with <div itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Product"> <span itemprop="name">Kenmore White 17" Microwave</span> <img src="kenmore-microwave-17in.jpg" alt='Kenmore 17" Microwave' /> <div itemprop="aggregateRating" itemscope itemprop="http://schema.org/AggregateRating"> Which one should I integrate as I

Knowing what RDFA vocabulary to use

How do we know which vocabulary/namespace to use to describe data with RDFa? I have seen a lot of examples that use xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" or xmlns:sioc="http://rdfs.org/sioc/ns#" then there is this video that uses FOAF vocabulary. This is all pretty confusing and I am not sure what these vocabularies mean or what is best to use for the data I am describing. Is there some trick I am missing? The simplest thing is to check if schema.org covers your needs. Schema.org is backed by Google and the other major search engines and generally pretty awesome. If it doesn't suit your

Best practices for adding semantics to a website

I am a bit confused about the semantics of websites. I understand that every URI should represent a ressource. I assume that all information provided by RDFa inside a webpage describes the ressource represented by the URI of that webpage. My question is: What are best practices for providing semantic data for subpages of a website. In my case I want to create a website for a theater group called magma using RDFa with schema.org and opengraph vocabularies. Let's say I have the welcome page ( http://magma.com/ ), a contact page ( http://magma.com/contact/ ) and pages for individual plays ( http:

I have a quick question about RDFa and Microdata. My current understanding is that RDFa is RDF implemented into HTML but is complicated for new developers like myself, Microdata seems really easy and quick to implement. What are the other advantages and disadvantages around these two semantic formats ? Differences between Microdata and RDFa While there are many (technical, smaller) differences, here’s a selection of those I consider important (used my answer on Webmasters as a base). Specifications As W3C’s HTML WG found no volunteer to edit the Microdata specification, it is now merely a W3C
