问题
This will be my first post here, I tried to look for faqs about the rules of this site but no clear answer for my doubts, so don't hesitate on telling me if i do smthing wrong or whatever
about me: i'm working for some shops, on their websites, i got low-level programing exp, and i'm very familiarized with web developing
I need some help about Prestashop programing, i'll quote what i posted on their forum (im getting no answers):

Hi guys I'm trying to make an improvement over our search form (blocksearch module iirc)
the problem is that i don´t know which files are related to this, i mean does it work as a module or it's affected by core files etc too (which im not so familiarized with).
Once i know how to start, i'll begin to work on this so i probably will have more questions.
The workaround we need, as our shop is unique item selling based, is to omit a certain category of the searching algorythm (the category to omit are previously sold items)
so i've been doing some research on those files in the module, no clues, i can see there're calls to jquery and ajax, an empty js script, i'm really lost
I hope that somebody could help me out, at least giving me some starting point thank you very much
