I have spent a day on the web trying to get bootstrap's media-breakpoint-only working without finding clear instructions.
I have the bootstrap navbar working so, I suspect, I have bootstrap installed correctly.
I want to get the following code working:
h1 {
@include media-breakpoint-only(xs) {
color: red;
}
@include media-breakpoint-only(sm) {
color: green;
}
@include media-breakpoint-only(md) {
color: blue;
}
@include media-breakpoint-only(lg) {
color: yellow;
}
@include media-breakpoint-only(xl) {
color: orange;
}
}
but I haven't a clue where to put this code or what additional things I need to do to get media-breakpoint-only working.
When I put the above code at the end of application.scss (see below), I get the following error:
Undefined mixin 'media-breakpoint-only'.

回答1:
It's most likely because you import bootstrap stylesheets after your own stylesheets. See, * require_tree .
in application.css
file means that you import all your stylesheets from app/assets/stylesheets
, so you get an error, because at that time bootstrap's mixins were not available yet.
To fix it, I would recommend creating a global stylesheets file, for example. app/assets/stylesheets/main.scss
, where you would import everything in a correct order.
// app/assets/stylesheets/main.scss
$navbar-default-bg: red;
@import "bootstrap-sprockets"
@import "bootstrap"
@import "some-file" // import specific file from app/assets/stylesheets/
@import "some-dir/*" // import whole directory from app/assets/stylesheets/
// any other styles here
And in application.css
keep only:
/*
* This is a manifest file that'll be compiled into application.css, which will include all the files
* listed below.
*
* Any CSS and SCSS file within this directory, lib/assets/stylesheets, or any plugin's
* vendor/assets/stylesheets directory can be referenced here using a relative path.
*
* You're free to add application-wide styles to this file and they'll appear at the bottom of the
* compiled file so the styles you add here take precedence over styles defined in any other CSS/SCSS
* files in this directory. Styles in this file should be added after the last require_* statement.
* It is generally better to create a new file per style scope.
*
* require main
* require_self
*/
