Windows 7 Media Center亦是个很强大的媒体中心，不过Linux下也有很多优秀的并不输给Windows的开源媒体中心，如 Moovida，Freevo，MythTV，GeeXboX，LinuxMCE，不过本人认为最炫的是酷的一塌糊涂的XBMC Media Center！ XBMC最先应用在Xbox上，现在可谓是一个全平台的软件了，下面介绍一下我的体验： 1. 支持DVD菜单播放，可以直接播放ISO格式的DVD镜像。 2. 支付多媒体遥控器，同时支持更多丰富的“遥控”方式，比如用手机通过蓝牙控制或者通过WebBrowser，详见“http://xbmc.org /wiki/?title=EventServer”与“http://xbmc.org/wiki /?title=Universal_Remote_Control”。 3. 支持笔记本多媒体按键。 4. 支持多种影音格式，能调整视频亮度、扫描模式等，支持播放压缩文件（如zip格式）里面的影音媒体，不过我测试没有成功，能解压识别文件，但无法播放；影音播放时可以转到控制界面，“Ctrl+ESC”能随时在控制界面和播放界面之间切换。 5. 精美的图片浏览模式，可以自己配置细节。 6. 遗憾的是与Compiz不兼容，主要也是在窗口模式下，全屏模式下一般不会出现问题，见“http://trac.xbmc.org/wiki

问题 I'm following the KODI/XBMC hello world addon tutorial here and i downloaded the finished project from here but the problem is that i cannot edit it, as ever time I try to add a version that I edited onto KODI it gives me the error Addon does not have correct structure I think it is the way I'm turning it back into a .zip(I am using the archive utility on a macbook air running yostimite), because even if I just unzip it and then without changing anything turn it back into a zip it still gives

Soundcloud API authentication without a web browser

I am working on a Soundcloud XBMC add-on. The add-on is open source, and written in Python. I would like to allow users to login to their SoundCloud account via the add-on, however it's possible to have XBMC instances running in an environment without access to a typical web browser (e.g. raspbmc , which provides no window manager or graphical browser by default). Is there a way to still allow users to authenticate with this add-on without requiring use of the 'SoundCloud Connect Screen' and without violating the SoundCloud API TOS? This is not provided in theirs API, but after some digging

Basically I want to fork the Confluence Skin used on XBMC and modify various elements located here: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tree/master/addons/skin.confluence However I don't want to fork the entire XBMC repository, so a simple fork action won't do.
