How to integrate NUnit tests into a TFS 2010 build

问题 What is the best way to integrate nunit tests into TFS 2010? Is it via generic tests or is there a better approach to running them? Ideally I'd like to have the granularity of one generic test per test assembly and have a way to surface the results in the TFS build report. 回答1: You can run nunit tests from command line and therefore you can automate these tests via your (Workflow) build template. Since there aren't a lot of custom build activities available for TFS 2010 yet, you could write

TFS remains out of sync after Get Sources step

问题 We migrated to TFS 2015 RTM recently and were successful in creating build pools, configuring build agents and build definitions. During the build process, TFS performs Get Sources task and successfully completes the same and marks itself in green. The problem begins here wherein the build process does not download the entire set of files and folders, picks few folders and downloads them completely and ignores the rest. We have set Clean option to True in the Repository tab of our build

TFS 2015 Build is not getting the Mapped path

问题 For some reason my build definition are not working properly if long path mappings. If I were using the path $/Project/Samples it works OK. My build has this in the repository tab: Then the logs show that there is no SLN found, and I confirmed that nothing was downloaded to the agent working folders: For me it's a bug when getting sources, as I can't see a good why it is not getting correctly the files. I already tried to add files in some folders above and it works. Some ideas? 回答1:

The command “C:\Main\Src\.nuget\nuget.exe restore -SolutionDirectory ..\” exited with code 1

问题 I've been struggling with getting NuGet to work for well over a week now. I finally got it to work on local builds, but not on TFS 2013 builds. I narrowed it down to NuGet not happening during team builds, but then when I added $(SolutionDir).nuget\nuget.exe restore -SolutionDirectory ..\ to the pre-build event on my first project in the build order and I get this error. And if I execute that command from the command line in the solution directory it works fine. It builds locally fine, but on

TFS Build Workflow Change Folder/File Attributes From Read-Only to Read/Write?

问题 In one of our web applications, it is required that some HTML pages be editable in a GUI interface we created for the user. Unfortunately, the interface directly reads/writes from a page on the server (also in the wwwroot). Another page on the server reads from it and just displays it. What I have now done is changed our entire build process so that nothing is manual anymore and I am now using the build workflow with TFS/VS 2010 which is nice. But TFS automatically puts everything in read

Team Build 2010 - Third Party Assembly References not copying to output folder

问题 When I build a solution on my build server it generates a binaries folder and then later on copies these binaries to the final output folder. In my case some of the third party assemblies REFERENCES are correctly copied over while other 3rd part assemblies REFERENCES are not copied over. Take not that my solution projects do not directly reference the assemblies being copied over. This means that everything build fine. But when I run my program it doesn't start since the assemblies it's

How to access a build's custom variable in script in TFS 2015?

问题 In Team Foundation Server 2015 in build definition I use my custom variables defined on Variables tab. Is there any way to access them in PowerShell build step like predefined variables can be accessed e.g. "$env:BUILD_DEFINITIONNAME"? Thank you 回答1: [disclaimer: I work on the new build system] I often advise folks to use the cmdline task or a cmd script to print out the variables (call set on windows, env on *nix). There's docs etc... but actually running it will show exactly what is really

MSBuild task - Build fails because one solution being built in release instead of debug

问题 I'm hitting a weird issue with MSBuild, and I'm thinking it might just be an environment issue. We're using MSBuild to build a number of separate solutions, and it seems to work on my machine. But on a couple of other machines, it's not working. I've tracked down the issue, and it looks like one of the solutions (or one of the projects in that solution) is being built in "Release" when everything else is being built in "Debug". This causes some of the references to be missing - so the

NUnit failed to load in TFS build

问题 I’m having a "build partially succeeded" issue with this error “NUnit failed to load e:\Builds\184\CSTax\706USServices_Test\bin\Calc.Tests.dll”, but all of the unit test in this project ran and passed (all green). TFS 2013 Build Controller Not Respecting NuGet Package Restore

问题 We are using VSO with an on-prem build controller (TFS 2013). I've enabled NuGet package restore in the Options menu of Visual Studio (migrated away from the old, deprecated way with the .nuget folder). Inside VS, restoring packages works just fine, however the build controller does not restore NuGet packages. The build controller runs under a service account and if I start VS (on the build server) as the service account and build my code it DOES restore the packages. How can I get the build
