问题 I have create a sample ASP.NET 5 application (pretty much the example one from New Solution), and pushed it to GIT hosted on Visual Studio Team Services (former Visual Studio Online). I want to set up continuous integration to Azure Web App (former Azure Web Site). I have tried to set it up from Azure portal itself, it did create a new build definition, but it fails to build ASP.NET 5. I have found a guide how to do this, but it never really worked for me, I get errors like this e.g. Error

Combining “Gated Checkin” and “Continuious Integration” Builds in Team Foundation Server

问题 this Question moved to how to prevent an Gated Check-In to put the Keyword ***NO_CI*** in the Comment where I put the Question in more detail with my gained knowledge For ensuring Code Quality and Unit Testing I habe established a Gated Check-In Build in my Project. Also there is another Build Definition to be triggered by Check-In (Continuous Integration Build), which I want to have build after Check-In. My expectation was, that The Gated Check in was executed and after successful Build and

TFS Team Build Log Unit Test Results

问题 We're using TFS 2010 Team Build which automatically runs our unit tests during the build process. If I click on View Log, I can see the list of tests run and each test result (Success/Fail). In the event of Failure, I want to see the test result output (so the developer can figure out what the cause of the failure is). Just running the unit test locally isn't enough because the issue could be environmental (if the test is failing because of some data, server, or physical path). How can I

BuildHTTPClient not able to get Build Definition Steps?

问题 We are using the BuildHTTPClient to programmatically create a copy of a build definition, update the variables in memory and then save the updated object as a new definition. I'm using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build2.WebApi.BuildHTTPClient 16.141. The TFS version is 17 update 3 (rest api 3.x) This is a similar question to https://serverfault.com/questions/799607/tfs-buildhttpclient-updatedefinition-c-example but I'm trying to stay within using the BuildHttpClient libraries and not go directly

Deploy from Visual Studio Online build to private IIS server

问题 Currently I'm building an ASP.NET MVC project using the new Team Foundation Build 2015 (former Build vNext) feature in Visual Studio Online and I can do a successful deployment to an Azure Website easily. Also I have a private server with Windows Server 2012 and IIS (you can not access it via the Internet) and I wonder if there is any way to make a deployment from my build in Visual Studio Online. Is it possible? 回答1: Yes, it is possible. You need to set up a on-premise build server machine

问题 I've declared a user capability named "MyCapability" in a TFS 2015 build agent with a path as value. How can I get this value in the powershell script of my build task ? $env:MyCapability and $MyCapability don't work. 回答1: You cannot access the capabilities from PowerShell through a variable unfortunately. You could use the Rest Client to connect back to TFS and read the Build Agent as well as the Build Definition to read out the configured values. This will require access to the OAuth token,

问题 I have a TFS Project with two main folders: Project --Folder1 ----LibraryA --Folder2 ----AppA referencing LibraryA When I build AppA solution, TFS fails to build, providing the following Error: C:\Builds\1\Project\AppA\Sources\Folder2..\Folder1\LibraryA\LibraryA.csproj I think TFS is doing something like $(CurrentBuildDir)$(ProjectReferenceSourceLocation), which just sticks the ..\Folder1\LibraryA part on there. I know shared assemblies should probably be build in their own solution and then
