Visual Studio Windows Form Preview In Different Resolution?

夙愿已清 提交于 2019-12-24 07:52:27
问题 I enjoy running Visual Studio in 1680 x 1050 resolution. However, our customers typically use 1024 x 768. Is there some way I can keep my editor in the native resolution but display the form designer in a different one? Thanks! Austin 回答1: I suggest you get an additional monitor, configure it as a desktop extension at 1024 x 768, and use it as your UI development and testing screen. 回答2: I use a 2nd monitor at lower resolution when I need something like this. Keep VS in your main window, then

Delveloping for Android high res screens, but supporting low res screens

问题 I've been developing Android games for the lower res screens (320x480) and then letting Android handle the density adjustments so the games work on high res screens. It allows me to keep the size of my APK files small and I don't have to create multiple versions of every image in my games. It actually works fine, the games still look nice on higher res screens. However, my question is, is it possible to do the same thing, only backwards? Can I develop for high res screens (800x480) and then

问题 I'm using Device Specific in one of my image sets (image0) and having 3 images for 2x, Retina 4 2x and 3x. iPhone 6 Plus simulator uses the 3x and iPhone 4/4s uses the 2x. The problem is that iPhone 5/5s simulator never uses the Retina 4 2x (green one in the screen shot below) These are the resolutions: 2x: 640 x 960 Retina 4 2x: 640 x 1136 3x: 1242 x 2208 EDIT1 I tried as per the suggestion below to set the image in IB but it still selects the 2x version! 回答1: It's because your project's

General Browser display statistics

问题 I need to come up with some figures on browser display (resolution) statistics. Obviously there is W3 Schools, however they state that these are results from their site and is biased towards tech savvy users. Does anyone know of some stats that are more general in nature? They need to be credible. 回答1: I usually just google for "Browser Statistics" and use the top ones that appear. W3Schools is fairly accurate even though they are only gathering a small percentage of the world's traffic.

What resolution programmers will get in Macbook Pro Retina

问题 Note: this question may not be suitable to SO, but I'd like to ask here because I want to hear from Mac OS X developers. Macbook Pro Retina (MPB Retina) has a native 2880x1800 resolution. However, such native resolution is not directly exposed. Rather, resolutions like 1440x900 and 1920x1200 are provied as shown in the below figure. I want to know what resolution programmers will see . Is it 2880x1800? Or, a reduced resolution? I'm particularly interested in how Mac OS X handles such ultra

问题 First of all sorry for the (maybe not so specific) title as it consists of multiple topics. The issue atm i'm having is related to my test automation setup. It consists of a linux machine handling the BE + FE and starting of the test themselves. And a Windows Server 2008 (Terminal) to which i connect through RDP session and it's the place the actual tests are run. For automation purposes i use Ranorex. First of all how i have the Win machine set up: As Ranorex is a GUI test automation tool it

问题 There is an easy way to provide compatibility for phones up to 4.0, but excluding tablets? For example, can I: <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="4" android:targetSdkVersion="14" /> And then set: <supports-screens android:anyDensity="true" android:xlargeScreens="false" android:largeScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:resizeable="true" android:smallScreens="true" /> This config filter the tablets from market? Many thanks for the help! 回答1: First of all, let me be very clear in

“Full web” mobile browsers and screen-size media queries based

问题 I've been asked to retrofit an existing website with a mobile layout. The website was built on a Wordpress Twenty11 framework, so I decided to build the mobile layout using the existing media queries in that framework. Now, my mobile layout looks great on any desktop browser dragged down to be less than 420px wide, but on iPhone & Android mobile browsers it just loads the full-width webpage anyhow. Full web experience, woot! Client unhappy. Wants mobile design to show up on all iPhone

How do GUI developers deal with variable pixel densities?

问题 Todays displays have a quite huge range in size and resolution. For example, my 34.5cm × 19.5cm display (resulting in a diagonal of 39.6cm or 15.6") has 1366 × 768 pixels, whereas the MacBook Pro (3rd generation) with a 15" diagonal has 2880×1800 pixels. Multiple people complained that everything is too small with such high resolution displays (see example). That is simple to explain when developers use pixels to define their GUI. For "traditional displays", this is not a big problem as the
