问题 I have a large file s3://my-bucket/in.tsv.gz that I would like to load and process, write back its processed version to an s3 output file s3://my-bucket/out.tsv.gz . How do I streamline the in.tsv.gz directly from s3 without loading all the file to memory (it cannot fit the memory) How do I write the processed gzipped stream directly to s3? In the following code, I show how I was thinking to load the input gzipped dataframe from s3, and how I would write the .tsv if it were located locally

Limiting 'ls' command output in s3fs

问题 My Amazon S3 bucket has millions of files and I am mounting it using s3fs . Anytime a ls command is issued (not intentionally) the terminal hangs. Is there a way to limit the number of results returned to 100 when a ls command is issued in a s3fs mounted path? 回答1: Try goofys (https://github.com/kahing/goofys). It doesn't limit the number of item returned for ls, but ls is about 40x faster than s3fs when there are lots of files. 回答2: It is not recommended to use s3fs in production situations.

Also, I have multiple Directories on an EC2 , on which a User can PUT an object, which gets synced with the different S3 buckets (using S3FS), which generate SQS events(using S3's SQS events). Here's what I need to achieve, Instead of Multiple S3 buckets, I need to consolidate the logic on Folder level , ie. I have now created

Heroku: Using external mount in local filesystem

问题 I know it's possible to mount an Amazon S3 bucket using Fuse (s3fs [or s3fsr ruby gem?]). My case is specific to Heroku. Heroku's filesystem is readonly for scalability and such, but is there a way to mount an amazon s3 in Heroku's filesystem? In my case, I use Redmine on Heroku and would like to use Redmine's built-in git repository management to link code reviews to my issues. Redmine needs to clone the repository to a local directory, which is possible but not persistent on Heroku. I would
