问题 This might be a stupid question but i would really appreciate any compact answer. I have uploaded a Joomla site on my local machine using a static IP address (213.221.211.111 for example). I have registered a domain (like www.example.com) on Godaddy.com. Within their dashboard, I set the primary and secondary name servers (I looked it from my router setup page). Is there any else I need to do so that entering e.g. www.example.com would take the user to 213.221.211.111. 回答1: Inside of godaddy,

问题 I have uploaded a website to my Compute Engine instance and I wanted to set the registrar to send the visitors to the server (Compute Engine). Where can I get the name servers of my instance/server over Compute Engine? 回答1: Google Compute Engine does not provide a nameserver on the public internet. (It does provide a nameserver for the internal network which is private to your project, this allows you to connect to instances via their instance names rather than IP.) If you want your instances

Programmatically Changing NameServer in Windows TCP/IP

I am building a VPN application where I need to set DNS server programmatically. I am changing NameServer parameter in the registry (in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces ) to prepend a name server to the list of existing entries. Once I do this, if I try to look up a host name using nslookup , it works fine, but ping is not able to resolve the name - for 15 minutes. And after 15 mins ping is also able to resolve the name. I've tried my own little TCP/IP app, and that has the same issue. I looked at the traffic in wireshark, and I see that nslookup

A(Host) Records with AWS Load Balancer

问题 I have a question regarding AWS Load Balancers. I can point my CNAME www to my load balancer's DNS perfectly and i know it will always work, BUT I also need to point the @ record to the load balancer so people can access mysite.com instead of www.mysite.com and hit the loadbalancer. The problem is that the A Records have to point an IP Address so i can't point to the DNS and the IP of the load balancer keeps changing so mysite.com stops working. Can anyone recommend me a work around for this?

Difference between an A Rec and CNAME in Route53

问题 As Amazon Route 53 allows you to set an A record or a CNAME to a different sub-domain name using Alias, I am wondering what is the difference between A record and CNAME now. To clarify my question, the difference between CNAME and A record in a traditional NameServer is that only CNAME can be used to point to a different subdomain and A record must point to a valid IP address. Since the AWS Route53 allows you to do use a subdomain with either A Rec or CNAME .. does it not blur the distinction

say you have a domain ( mydomain.com ) in registered to a registrar, say namecheap, you have setup MX record to handle email sent to your domain you had setup an A record to make a subdomain use a different webhost Name: intranet.mydomain.com Value: 108.xxx.xxx.xx Type: A name now, you want to host the primary domain to a webhost, so that when a user load mydomain.com to their browser it will use webhost to load the resources Question, the webhost requires you to update domain nameserver to use ns1.myhost.com ns2.myhost.com Will updating my nameserver to my domain registrar to use the
