问题 I am trying to develop with Eclipse 2020.6 and m2e using openJDK-11 on Win10 . The computer is maintained by IT department having jre-8 in its PATH and I dot have the rights to change that. I have installed JDK11 below my user folder. Changed eclipse.ini for Eclipse and toolchain.xml for commandline Maven . I also checked Module Dependencies in Java Build Path : com.sun.tools.jar is no longer there. Commandline Maven and Eclipse are using JDK11 instead of jre-8 , except the eclipse-editor for

Strange Characters instead of actual titles in Eclipse

问题 Strange characters are being shown in different tabs in Eclipse IDE. I have tried reinstalling and nothing changed. But when I hover over those tabs it shows the actual name. 问题 I have a maven project in Eclipse where I am using some hadoop libraries (hadoop-common, hadoop-auth, hadoop-hdfs) and these bring in a dependency on jdk.tools. When I check this project out on a different machine, it works fine, but on mine the pom.xml complains about "missing artifact jdk.tools:jdk:tools:jar:1.6". I can fix this by adding a dependency manually and specifying the file on my local drive (eg "${JAVA_HOME}/../lib/tools.jar") but I would like to understand why it works on one

问题 I have been able to run an Eclipse Java Maven project from a Windows shell. However, I am able to do so only by invoking mvn from the parent directory of the Maven project. Is it possible to invoke mvn from any directory? In other words, are there any command line arguments mvn supports that would allow invocation from any directory?
