A forum solution with an Q&A option and API

问题 I have a project that needs to have a forum integrated. I could implement it myself for the most custom experience, but I'm also looking at existing solutions. My biggest concern is that I'd prefer a solution that provides an API so that tasks like user creation, login, etc. can be automated through the API. It would ideally also be able to act both as a traditional forum and as a Q&A type forum almost like the style we have here. There's phpBB, vBulletin but they're older so I doubt they

问题 I was wondering if anyone has built or know of a decent forum package for Umbraco 4.03?? I've had a little play with this but its a bit basic http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-forum-package and http://our.umbraco.org/projects/uforum-basics I've found this article on how to integrate YAF forum but would rather have one which fits a bit better.. http://dawoe.blogspot.com/2009/02/intergrate-yet-another-forum-193rc2.html Of course I know one answer, write or extend one of the above :) Any

问题 Before you shout ORDER BY id , the situation is quite different. The forum I was asked to make is a guestbook forum, where unregistered users can reply to and make posts. Replies to a post are indented under the post being replied to. Of course, this is all in unordered lists. A short example: Main post Reply to post A reply to the reply Another reply to main A post that has nothing to do with the replies It's like what Nettuts+'s comment system looks like. .htaccess RewriteRule to redirect url's containing specific parameters

问题 I've seen several questions regarding similar requests, however, I'm not trying to redirect to a custom crafted URL. I just want to take common URLs that have been linked to and redirect them to a landing page. For example, I want to catch a specific URL like the following, but only this URL: http://example.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=345 ...and redirect it to: http://example.com/landing-page.html I have a few links which no longer exist, so I'll be adding 4 or 5 redirects to more useful

How to implement a feature: Post to a forum via email?

问题 I'm investigating the development of a new forum and found via user feedback that posting to the forum via their email client would be a very useful feature. I'm wondering: is it possible? Can php check for an inbox folder and turn each email into a forum post? And if so, how to do that in a LAMP environment? 回答1: Setting up a script triggered by receipt of email to a particular address would be the simplest. That way you don't need to write a new cron script. You would want to create a

问题 I would like to check the user status and update their bbPress forum role accordingly. (Not the Wordpress role.) The purpose is to add functionality to the BP-Registration-Options plugin that moderates user registration (In BuddyPress. Currently the plugin sets the user status to 69 while the user is unapproved, and blocks access to BuddyPress functionality. However, the user is still able to login. When they log-in, bbPress automatically sets the user forum role according to your setting in

问题 I'm working on a forum application in PHP. In signature field I have " <img src='randomimage.png'><br>bla blah " If an image is bigger than the field it stretches my tables and looks bad. Is there any way to re size the image if its too big? Sorry for my poor English and thank you for reading Edit: The thing is that it's not only the image. It's the image and the text "the big text". Respectfully, Tom 回答1: PHP... You can re-size images with the gdlibrary (See: PHP/GD - Cropping and Resizing

问题 What is a good, open source RoR 3 forum that can easily integrated to an existing application? Optional features: OpenID support Haml/SCSS templates Support for smilies, YouTube, images, etc I'm probably going to change it alot, and I'm still pretty weak in Ruby, so clean, commented code with good practices would be great. Thanks :) 回答1: The Rails community has never been focused on developing Ruby/Rails forums, conversely to other languages such as PHP. The evidence of that is a really old

I have nearly finished a free spellchecker library for Windows Mobile, and there are a few great forums around (both for developers and end-users), such as XDA, where you can promote your creations for Windows Mobile. However, I have been thinking that I'd like to make a version of my library available for
