Downloading game assets to SD card on Android

问题 I'm developing an Android game that has to download some assets to the SD card to keep the size of the app as small as possible. I was thinking of using an uncompressed zip file to bundle all the assets. A requirement from the client is to protect these assets as much as possible. Being part of the apk is considered enough protection, but if I do this the apk size will be enormous. If I just put a zip bundle in the SD card, then anyone can unzip it and explore its contents. Is there a simple

What's the best way to protect proprietary HTML/CSS/JavaScript? [duplicate]

I am writing a robust, scalable, and fairly complex website engine using HTMl, CSS, and JavaScript. I don't want it to get ripped off, and I'm wondering if there's any way to protect the source from being viewed in the client. I am particularly

.NET copy protection

Is it possible to restrict a .NET executable to a specific machine somehow so that it can only be run on that machine. Yes, and I do that in my apps. It works wonderfully. Getting the system info (CPUID, MacID, HDD details) is easy using WMI (highly recommended). I created a system that's practically foolproof (unless you're a pro hacker). When my apps are installed for the first time on the user's PC, they go back to my server using web services. They identify themselves using a password hash and look for an authorisation code/order id for the client. If the client has the correct

What code to write for a dongle attached system to provide better security?

I have developed a software piece (with C and Python) which I want to protect with dongle so that copying and reverse engineering becomes hard enough. My dongle device comes with an api which provides these: Check dongle existence Check proper dongle Write into a memory location in dongle Read from a memory location in dongle etc. (I think the rests aren't that good..) What I can do in the source code so that it becomes harder to crack. Dongle provider suggested that, I should check proper dongle existence in a loop or after an event, or I should use the dongle memory in an efficient way. But

How does it appear that MDN can detect a request from an iframe on the Server Side and send no content?

问题 Please Note: This question is not related directly to Server-side detection that a page is shown inside an IFrame, as I'm showing you an instance where it would appear that the guys at MDN (Mozilla Developer Network) are already detecting that content is being delivered to an iframe, although, if you read through this, I discuss the possibility that this isn't server-side related at all; it might be some sort of "rights" issue declared some how or in some way I don't know about. The point is

PHP/Web Script Protection

I want to write a script in PHP and javascript and somehow protect my source code so that I can sell my script. I am looking for ideas how to protect my script. If I sell it to someone, how can I stop that person from redistributing it as their product? I know there is ZEND and ionCube, but are there any other methods? As I don't like to force a user to have zend optimizer installed on the server. Is there any way of generating a "serial number" protection for these scripts that cannot be removed by editing the code? There are ways to obfuscate and encrypt your code but if you rely on your

Programmatically forward-lock an Android APK

Doing a bit of advance research, and am stuck on the point summarized in the title. Namely, is there any way to forward-lock an APK installed programmatically, from another app? I've not come across anything beyond a hint in the following post: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/msg/e39941389d4a4cf8 I can't see anything in the docs for PackageManager about forward- locking, but I readily confess that this is an unfamiliar area of the SDK for me. [Cross-posted with the Android-Developers Google group] If anyone looks at this again... I've since found out that it can't be done in

Where and how should I save license related information? [closed]

I have an application (C#) and I am tasked with putting some simple licensing scheme in it. While doing that I need to save that information somewhere in computer to limit the usage. I need to save a date and a counter. How and where I should save the information which, on Windows Vista, doesnt require administrative privileges to run? (Which means saving it in System32, Program Files, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is not an option.) Please do not flood the answers with "don't do it" or "it will be cracked anyway". I do understand those logics. I just need to do anything best that can be done for this

What language will protect my source code?

I wish to create shareware software that contains a registration algorithm. I am looking for a programming language, that cannot be easily decompiled into readable code. For example, C# can be decompiled into readable code. What are my options? Edit: I'm looking for something that can be only decompiled into assembly. Delphi, for example, cannot be decompiled like C# or Java, but from what I've heard, Delphi is dying. Schalk Versteeg Delphi is not dying, it is alive and well. As is the community, at delphifeeds . You can also see more delphi projects, Freeware, shareware and commercial at the
