I'm following the directions here: http://developer.android.com/training/basics/firstapp/running-app.html and the relevant line is: Make sure the Android SDK platform-tools/ directory

Can't get Android SDK Manager to open

Having searched here and elsewhere for answers to my problems, I'm still unable to fix this. I've installed Eclipse, ADT Plugin, and the Android SDK. My problem is that the SDK Manager won't open, whether it is launched from Eclipse or directly. The command prompt window flashes up briefly, then closes. I've tried several proposed solutions: Various configurations of my Path and JAVA_HOME variables, installation of the 32 and 64 bit versions of the JDK, running as Administrator, all with no success. The different components are installed at these paths: JDK - C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_11

问题 I had to format my Windows laptop so I copied the SDK folder (because it's about 30 GB large) and i pasted it in the same place on the new Windows copy. Now when I start Android Studio and SDK Manager everything looks fine and all tools & packages appear as downloaded, but when I start an emulator to test my app, it says Get Google Play Services which I already have in my gradle as follows: compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:7.0.0' It was working fine on the old Windows machine but

I just installed Android Studio and followed exactly the directions that are displayed here: https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/index.html?pkg=studio When I move on to the next page here: https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/adding-packages.html it states that I should "In Eclipse or Android Studio, click SDK Manager in the toolbar". How to make Visual Studio 2015 installer know that I already have Android SDK?

When I am installing Visual Studio 2015 I realized that it says Java SE Development Kit is already exists on the computer. I think installer knew it because of environment variables . That's why I set ANDROID_SDK_HOME and ANDROID_NDK environment variables. But when I launch the installer again it is still aware of only Java Development Kit. Do I set wrong environment names? How to make the installer know that I already have SDK and NDK? Visual Studio 2015 installer doesn't use ANDROID_SDK_HOME environment variable to detect SDK. You have to create the following registry entry. Open REGEDIT and
