Can we use standalone Spring Cloud Schema Registry with Confluent's KafkaAvroSerializer?

I have a project using Spring cloud stream with Kafka Streams binder. For the output of a stream, I am using Avro, with the Serde provided by Confluent(io.confluent.kafka.
