Cannot find ContentPlaceHolder 'MainContent" in the master page - but only when called remotely via HTTPS

I have an issue where I\'m getting this error but only in certain scenarios. I can call this remotely via HTTP without issue, can call locally with HTTP and HTTPS with no issue
