In your onFinish overriden on StartActivity method just do:

    @Override
    public void onFinish() {
        getSharedPreferences("APP", MODE_PRIVATE).edit().putInt("SOME_IDENTIFIER", score).commit();
        Intent i = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), ScoreActivity.class);
        startActivity(i);
    }

And then on ScoreActivity onCreate method:

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_score);
    textFinal = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.textFinal);
    int defaultValue = 0;
    int score = getSharedPreferences("APP", MODE_PRIVATE).getInt("SOME_IDENTIFIER", defaultValue);
    textFinal.setText(score);

}

Writing a file for passing just a few bytes is probably a bit too much.

You could simply use SharedPreferences instead. (see here).

Or in case you only want to pass the score to the next activity, you could just use:

/* pass extra data to next activity */
intent.putExtra("score", yourScore);

/* get passed data */
getIntent().getIntExtra("score", -1); // -1 will be returned if no score was passed
