Hammerspoon: continuously send keystrokes to one application, while using others normally

Ok, so I have a script with Hammerspoon that executes key stokes for me. Simple example:

hs.hotkey.bind({\'cmd\',\'alt\',\'ctrl\'}, "b", function()
