Visual Studio toggle line comment not being recognized, and '/' being considered as ctrl

I\'m on Pop_OS! 20 and am using visual studio 1.52.1.

I can\'t use the shortcut for commeting anymore ctrl +/ it simply stopped working.

While typing around on
