daysTV is always null even if I setText to a hard number like this daysTV.setText(“5”) , but if I write it out side the try{} it works

this is my code , I am trying to get the days count between two dates from database , startingDateTV= 1-10-2020 , currentDate= 06-10-2020 , all values are coming write but o
