SQL / Wiki / Confluence: How do I keep '|' symbol within sql query data from splitting wiki output into two columns?

I am trying to publish a sql query in confluence. One column I am pulling uses a \'|\' in the middle of that column which is splitting data after the \'|\' into a new column
