filter_input( INPUT_SERVER, 'REQUEST_URI' ) returning NULL

Question

Issue: filter_input( INPUT_SERVER, \'REQUEST_URI\' ) returning NULL unlike $_SERVER[\'REQUEST_URI\'].

Any idea how I can fix this? I
