Installing R on RHEL 7 - Error: Multilib version problems found: (expat-2.1.0-11.el7.i686 != expat-2.1.0-11.el7_7.x86_64)

I\'am trying to install R (yum install R) on a RHEL 7 box, but I get the following error message. Does anyone have an idea to solve the conflict in the two libs of expat?
