How to turn a string that looks a list in a list? (Lua)

Question

My string looks like this but much bigger:

{{0,0,0,1,1},{0,2,2,2,1},{0,2,2,2,1},{0,0,0,1,1},{0,2,2,2,1}}

The strings comes compressed from a json
