Spring Data JPA + H2 embedded persistence : CrudRepository.save saves only to memory on restart no longer see the changes

Question

I have a simple Spring Data JPA setup with h2 embedded persistence. I created a bunch of entities & set spring.jpa.hibernate.ddl-auto=update since i am only
