passing arm parameters to a powershell customize section of a Microsoft.VirtualMachineImages/imageTemplates template

When creating a Microsoft.VirtualMachineImages/imageTemplates template I find it difficult to pass an ARM parameter to an customize powershell section of the template. I fin
