I'm trying to code a basic PHP game that requires using the num pad for directional movements

Question

8,6,4,2 are the basic directional; 9,7,3,1 are diagonal movements. How do I code for these to be inputs? I have pseudocode for it all set up but as far as I\'m aware I need
