In Perl, checking a json decoded boolean value

Decoded JSON booleans are objects:

my $json_string = \'{\"boolean_field\":true}\';

It will be a truthy value in Perl. Just access it as normal.

print 'true' if $decoded_json->{'boolean_field'};
