Exoplayer PlayerNotificationManager Notification persisting after app death on API 23 device

Question

For the app I\'m building, I have 2 android test devices, a Samsung Galaxy S5 running API 23 and an HTC 10 running API 26. I\'m also using an emulated Nexus 5X running API 29.
