Global Cordova 7.1.0 fails to build for iOS remote device

Question

To reproduce my issue follow these steps:

• Visual Studio 2017 Community - version 15.4.4
• Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova - version 1

Downgrade from node 8.x+ to node 6.x and try again.
