geoserver rest api not respecting REPROJECT_TO_DECLARED parameter

Question

I\'m not able to transmit the REPROJECT_TO_DECLARED Parameter via REST API. I simplified the problem to make it reproducable:

First I create a new geotiff coveragestore a
