How to install sbt on ubuntu/debian with apt-get [closed]

Alternatively, you can also install it via:

curl -L -o sbt.deb http://dl.bintray.com/sbt/debian/sbt-0.13.15.deb
sudo dpkg -i sbt.deb
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sbt

Please replace sbt-0.13.15 above with the actual version of sbt you want.

echo "deb https://dl.bintray.com/sbt/debian /" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sbt.list
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv 642AC823
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sbt

This one does work

sbt
  Getting org.scala-sbt sbt 0.13.9 ...

And then.. be patient ..
