Expanding / Resolving ~ in node.js

Question

I am new to nodejs. Can node resolve ~ (unix home directory) example ~foo, ~bar to /home/foo, /home/bar

\'~mvaidya\'
> path.resolve(

Today I used https://github.com/sindresorhus/untildify

I run on OSX, worked well.
