Clang Complete for Vim

I copied clang_complete.vim to plugin, but when I typed . after some variable, it says:

pattern not found

To configure Vim, you must find or create your .vimrc file:

$ vim ~/.vimrc

Then enter:

let g:clang_complete_copen = 1
