Devaron gave the most informative review of WCF vs Web Api that I have yet to find. Thanks. Now to the point of WCF being too complex, I'll say that complexity is not automatically a negative. You'll be thankful for the breathing room it affords you in the future. The challenge as always with Microsoft tools is that we don't know or control that future. Let's hope that Microsoft ends up with a more unified system, and that it stays around for a few years.

I've also got a big system to build, and it stresses me out that the path isn't more clear. I plan on holding off for a couple more months while this all settles out. And personally I'm rooting for datajs (also check out JayData)
