Is smartclient suitable?

How does the waiting time for SmartClient scale across thousands of users editing grids?

I have received warnings before that ExtJS would not be suitable.

thank you for your answer. I have been under the impression that the average-Joe entering a website with Ext would be discouraged when he was faced with a long loading time which was also increased if there were many people using the site. This was the reason why I thought that SmartClient would be better but I haven't found any comparison between them. Maybe I was to hasty in disregarding ExtJS.

I will hope to get in contact with someone that has had experience from SmartClient to assist in developing my future site. Thank you Jez
