CodeIgniter HMVC error after updating PHP to PHP 7

Question

After updating 5.6 to PHP 7. I was using HMVC implementation of Code Igniter and PHP upgrade started throwing following errors:-

Download latest CI 3.1

change folder system of CI with updated CI 3.1

Go /var/www/html/application/config

change 'dbdriver' from 'mysql' to 'mysqli',

That's it.
