Generating a list of EVEN numbers in Python

Basically I need help in generating even numbers from a list that I have created in Python:

[1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597

You could use a for and if loop using the length function, like this:

for x in range(len(numList)):
    if x%2 == 0:
        print(x)
        NewList.append(x)
