You could do this:

onclick="getValue2("' + parameter + '")"

But something like this would be better:

var $div = $('
click the botton
');
var $button = $('')
    .data('parameter', parameter)
    .click(function () {
        getValue2($(this).data('parameter'));
    }).appendTo($div);

$("#content").append($div);
