Android Studio installation on Windows 7 fails, no JDK found

Question

I downloaded Android Studio and attempted to launch the program.

This is running on Windows 7 64-bit with Java 1.7. During the installation my Java 1.7 is detected,

I downloaded the latest jdk version

JAVA_HOME to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_11\bin Set the PATH to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_11\bin

I restarted the STUDIO and it worked.
