Where to place the 'assets' folder in Android Studio?

I am confused about the assets folder. It doesn\'t come auto-created in Android Studio, and almost all the forums in which this is discussed talk about Eclipse.

It's simple, follow these steps

File > New > Folder > Assets Folder

Note : App must be selected before creating folder.
